Getting a Prepaid SIM card
To activate your Koodo Prepaid phone, you'll need a Koodo Prepaid SIM Card. Get one at your nearest store or purchase on Amazon.

Getting another phone on Prepaid
You can buy a new phone and use the same Koodo Prepaid SIM card. No need to activate your new phone!
Deactivating your SIM card
To deactivate your SIM card, simply stop topping up your account. Once you've been without an active base plan on your account for a full 90 days, your Koodo Prepaid SIM card will be automatically de-activated and you'll lose your phone number and any funds remaining on your account balance, including your Boosters. Once de-activated, you'll need to buy a new Koodo Prepaid SIM card to resume your service.
Unlocking your Prepaid phone
Contact Us if you want to unlock your prepaid phone. We don't unlock phones from other carriers, so make sure your phone is unlocked before bringing it to Koodo.
Swapping your Koodo SIM
If you want to swap your SIM card, you’ll need to do so through your Koodo Prepaid Self Serve account by following the instructions below. This will be a two-factor authentication (2FA) process and will require either the phone number or the email address associated with your Prepaid Self Serve account.
- Log in to your Prepaid Self Serve account
- Select the Phone Services tab
- Select the Change SIM Card tab
- Enter your new SIM number
- Choose SMS or email, depending on your preferred way to receive your one-time passcode
- Enter the one-time passcode you received
- Submit the information you’ve entered
