Setting up data on your non-Koodo phone

If you’re having trouble with data on your non-Koodo phone, you might need to configure your network settings for Koodo. The steps below may not be exactly the same on your phone, but they should help you to get started.

Setting up data on your iPhone

  • Back up your iPhone (using iCloud or iTunes). Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
  • Insert your new Koodo SIM card.
  • Set up your phone as a new iPhone, or restore it from iCloud or iTunes.

Setting up data on your Android

Select your Android phone:

  • Android 2.3 and lower*: Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > New APN setting (or a plus sign).
  • Android 4.0 and higher*: Go to Settings > More… > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > (or a plus sign).

Enter the following information:

Select Save / Done. Select Koodo to connect to the Koodo network. Your data should work now.

*Some models may have a slightly different path. If that's the case, check your phone's user guide.
 

Setting up data on your Windows phone

For Windows 8:

  • Go to SettingsCellular > Add or Edit internet APN.

Enter the following information:

  • Tap the Save icon.

For picture and video messaging: 

  • Go to Settings > Cellular > Add or Edit MMS APN.

  • Tap the Save icon.
     

Setting up data on your Blackberry

For OS 7 and lower (BlackBerry, Curve, Bold, Torch, Storm):

  • Go to All Options > Device > Advanced System Settings  > TCP IP.

Enter the following information:

For OS 10:

  • Go to Settings Network and Connections > Mobile Network. Tap the settings icon (dented wheel). The APN should be sp.koodo.com. It can't be edited manually.

For picture and video messaging: 

  • Open Text Messages > tap ... and tap Settings > tap Text Messages > tap the advanced icon > scroll down to MMSC Settings.

Enter the following information:
