Koodo’s Terms and Conditions for Stream+

Stream+ Basic

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Stream+ Basic subscription. Stream+ Basic gives you access to the following three subscription services (the “Streaming Services”):
Disney+ Standard with Ads (“Disney+”), which is a service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the Disney+ app or at disneyplus.com. The Disney+ service, including all content, is provided by Buena Vista International, Inc. (“Disney”). Your use of Disney+ is subject to the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement, available at disneyplus.com/legal/subscriber-agreement, which is an agreement between you and Disney. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Disney+ through Koodo. You acknowledge that your use of the Disney+ service is subject to The Walt Disney Company Privacy Policy and Supplemental Privacy Policy for Canada, available at disneyplus.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Netflix Standard with Ads (“Netflix”), which is a service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on any internet-connected device that offers the Netflix app or at Netflix.com. Your use of Netflix is subject to the Netflix Terms of use, available at https://help.netflix.com/en/legal/termsofuse, which is an agreement between you and Netflix. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Netflix through Koodo. You acknowledge that your use of the Netflix service is subject to Netflix Privacy Statement, available at https://help.netflix.com/en/legal/privacy.
Amazon Prime (“Amazon”), which is a service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content and music and to receive benefits, including free fast shipping for eligible purchases, exclusive shopping deals and selection, and more. You can learn more about these and other benefits by visiting the Prime home page. Your Amazon account and subscription are subject to Amazon’s Conditions of Use, Amazon Video Terms of Use, Amazon Music Terms of Use, Amazon Photos Terms of Use, Kindle Store Terms of Use and others (“Amazon Terms”). These are agreements between you and Amazon. Please ensure you read and understand these agreements before subscribing to Amazon through Koodo. You acknowledge that your use of the Amazon service is subject to Amazon Privacy Notice.
TELUS Films & Series is available via the TELUS TV+ mobile app (“TELUS TV+”). You can learn more about the content available on TELUS TV+ and other benefits by visiting the Stream+ homepage. Telus will provide you with the ability to receive video and audio programming channels at your premises, only as delivered by Koodo in accordance with the distribution licenses held by TELUS.

Minimum Requirements

To purchase Stream+ Basic or Premium, you must have at least one Koodo, Altima, Start, Public Mobile, or Mascon product in order to be eligible. To activate, manage, or cancel your subscription, you must register for a Koodo Self Serve account, if you don’t already have one set up. You must be a Canadian resident and be the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe. If you cancel your Koodo, Altima, Start, Public Mobile, or Mascon service, you can continue your Stream+ Basic or Premium subscription. You cannot access the TELUS TV+ mobile app while on a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Activation

Once you sign up for Stream+ Basic through Koodo Self Serve and authenticate your account, you will receive four activation emails prompting you to activate your subscriptions with Disney+, Netflix, Amazon, and TELUS Films & Series. The steps to activate your subscriptions to each of these Streaming Services are outlined below:
A link in the email will take you to Koodo Self Serve, where you must create an account or log in using your existing Koodo credentials.
You must navigate to the “Subscriptions" page, where you will see your Stream+ Basic subscription listed. You will need to click “Activate subscriptions" under the Stream+ Basic product, then click “Activate" for each of the Streaming Services. Upon clicking each Activate button, you will be taken to the partner site to complete activation by either linking to an existing account or creating a new account.
  • If you DO NOT have existing accounts with Disney+, Netflix, or Amazon, you must create an account with each of the Streaming Services.
  • If you DO have an existing Disney+, Netflix, or Amazon account, once you have activated your subscriptions (as detailed above) you must log in to the partner site using your existing account information, which will link your existing account to your Stream+ Basic subscription.
  • If you do not wish to link your existing Disney+, Netflix, or Amazon account to your Stream+ Basic subscription, then you will have to create a new Disney+, Netflix, or Amazon account for your Stream+ Basic subscription (as detailed above). Both subscriptions will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription. To access TELUS Films & Series through the TELUS TV+ mobile app, you will need to log in with your existing Koodo username and password. These credentials are the same as those used to purchase the Stream+ subscription.

Billing

Once you have subscribed to Stream+, your subscription fee(s) owing will be charged to the credit card on your Koodo Self Serve account every succeeding month until you cancel your Stream+ Subscription through your Koodo Self Serve account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. No bill will be sent to you; monthly charges can be viewed from your Koodo Self Serve account. Any additional purchase you may make through the Disney+ service will be made directly through Disney+ and will not be chargeable through your Koodo Self Serve account.

Pre-existing Subscription

Netflix: If you have a pre-existing subscription to Netflix prior to signing up with Koodo, you will be able to link your existing account during the activation process so you don’t lose your watch history or account details. Once you link your existing account, your billing will transfer over to Koodo.
Amazon: If you have a pre-existing subscription to Amazon Prime prior to signing up with Koodo, you will be able to link your existing account during the activation process so you don’t lose your watch history or account details.
If your pre-existing subscription to Amazon Prime is on a monthly billing cycle, once you link your existing account, your billing will transfer over to Koodo.
Note: In some circumstances, existing Amazon Prime customers may encounter this error: “You already have an active Prime membership on this account. Existing Prime members are ineligible for this offer.” This means your account requires manual assistance for Prime membership. If this occurs, please contact Amazon support for assistance with your existing Prime membership, then return to your Koodo Self Serve account to complete linking your Amazon account.
If your pre-existing subscription to Amazon Prime is on an annual payment cycle, once you link your account, your billing will NOT transfer over to Koodo. Instead, annual subscriptions will pause. You can resume the remaining months if you cancel Stream+.
Disney+: If you have a pre-existing subscription to Disney+ prior to signing up with Koodo, you will be able to link your existing account during the activation process so you don’t lose your watch history or account details.
Depending on your pre-existing Disney+ plan, you may be required to manage your subscription to avoid duplicate charges:
  • If you have a monthly Disney+ subscription that is the same as or less than the plan offered by Koodo, it will be automatically paused for the duration of your current KOODO subscription.
  • If your monthly Disney+ subscription costs more than the plan offered by Koodo, or if you subscribe through a third party (e.g., Apple, Google), you will need to pause or cancel it yourself to avoid double billing. See this link for more details on how to manage your existing subscription.
  • If you have an annual Disney+ subscription, once you link your account, your billing will NOT transfer over to Koodo. Instead, annual subscriptions will pause. You can resume the remaining months if you cancel Stream+.

Cancellation

You will be able to cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription with Koodo at any time through your Koodo Self Serve account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing period. If you are a Quebec subscriber, you can cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit. Koodo may also cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription, or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No refund will be given in case of revocation. The provider of a Streaming Service may cancel your subscription to their Streaming Service at any time in accordance with their applicable terms of use.
Upon cancellation of your Stream+ Basic subscription, any pre-existing streaming service subscriptions that were paused during your Stream+ Basic activation will automatically resume. Billing for these services will return to their original providers. After you cancel your Stream+ Basic subscription with Koodo, it is your responsibility to manage any subscription to any Streaming Service that is billed directly or via a third party, if you would no longer like to maintain a subscription to any of those services or wish to make any change to your related subscription.
If you are a Quebec subscriber, you can cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit.

Stream+ Premium

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Stream+ Premium subscription. Stream+ Premium gives you access to the following three subscription services (the “Streaming Services”):
Disney+ Premium (“Disney+”), which is a service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the Disney+ app or at disneyplus.com.
