Sony LIV on Koodo Subscription | Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your Sony LIV (“LIV”) subscription with Koodo.

Company Details: Sony LIV is a service mark of Sony Entertainment Television registered in India. Sony LIV is a video subscription service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the Sony LIV app or the website. Sony LIV account activation required. Visit sonyliv.com to see programming availability and regular pricing, which is subject to change without notice. Your use of Sony LIV is subject to the Sony LIV Terms of Use, available at https://www.sonyliv.com/terms-of-use, which is an agreement between you and Sony Entertainment Television. Please ensure you read and understand that agreement before subscribing to Sony LIV through Koodo. By accessing Sony LIV, you agree to be legally bound by the Visitor Agreement. You acknowledge that your use of the Sony LIV service is subject to the Sony LIV Privacy Policy, available at https://www.sonyliv.com/privacy-policy.
Minimum Requirements: To use Sony LIV through Koodo Self Serve, you must have a compatible device in accordance with the Sony LIV Terms of Service. You must set up a Koodo Self Serve account in order to subscribe and manage your Sony LIV subscription through Koodo. Sony LIV is offered as a standalone subscription for existing Koodo customers in Canada. You must be a Canadian resident and at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe to Sony LIV through Koodo. Compatible products and services are required. Playback quality will depend on hardware and internet connection. Existing Sony LIV subscription or new subscription activation through Koodo is required.
Activation: Once you sign up for a Sony LIV subscription through Koodo Self Serve, you will receive an activation email from Koodo prompting you to activate your subscription with Sony LIV. The steps to activate your subscription are outlined below:
  1. A link in the email will take you to Koodo Self Serve, where you must log in using your existing Koodo credentials. If there is a delay in receiving the email, you can also activate Sony LIV by navigating directly to the “Subscriptions” section on Koodo Self Serve.
  2. On the “Subscriptions” page where you will see your Sony LIV subscription listed, you will need to click “Activate Subscriptions.” You will be taken to the Sony LIV site to complete your activation by creating a new account. a. If you DO NOT have an existing Sony LIV account, you must create a new account. b. If you DO have an existing Sony LIV account, sign in to your existing Sony LIV account. This will link your existing account to your Sony LIV subscription with Koodo. If you do not wish to link your existing Sony LIV subscription, then you will have to create a new Sony LIV account; both subscriptions will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.
Billing: For any inquiries relating to billing or payment of your Sony LIV on Koodo subscription, please visit the Koodo Help page. For any inquiries relating to the Sony LIV service (including technical questions), please visit https://www.sonyliv.com/faqs.
You will be charged the applicable price plus applicable tax to the credit card that you added on your Koodo Self Serve account. Existing Sony LIV subscription or new subscription activation is required. Your subscription will automatically renew, and you will be charged every succeeding month until you cancel your Sony LIV subscription through your Koodo Self Serve account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you; monthly charges can be viewed in your Koodo Self Serve account.
Any additional purchase you may make through the Sony LIV service will be made through the Sony LIV app with Sony LIV directly and will not be billed through your Koodo Self Serve account. For additional information, including details on billing and changes, please refer to the Koodo Subscriptions Platform Terms of Use, which is part of your agreement with Koodo.
Pre-Existing Subscription: If you have a pre-existing premium subscription to Sony LIV directly with Sony LIV and want to pay through Koodo instead, prior to signing up with Koodo you will need to cancel your existing Sony LIV subscription and let it end before activating with Koodo to avoid being double-billed. If you do not cancel your pre-existing premium subscription to Sony LIV, you will be double-billed until such time as you cancel either your subscription through Koodo or with Sony LIV.
After you have logged in to Koodo Self Serve using your new or existing credentials, you can go to the Subscriptions page to activate Sony LIV using the “activate” button. Upon clicking the activation button, you will be able to complete activation by linking your existing account. If you cancel your premium subscription directly through Sony LIV, you will no longer be able to manage your account status with Sony LIV. All future payments will be managed by Koodo.
Cancellation: You will be able to cancel your Sony LIV subscription with Koodo at any time through your Koodo Self Serve account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing period. Koodo may also cancel your Sony LIV subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription, or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No refund will be given in case of revocation.
